László Gulyás was born in Budapest in 1960. He graduated from the vocational high school of fine and applied arts in the department of advertising graphics, and from 1983 to 1987 he was a student at the college of fine arts. Since 1987, he has been a member of the national association of Hungarian creative artists.
Under the universal influence of Rembrandt's painting, he matures his personal pictorial world and learns the painting technique of the old great masters. This is what sets him apart from most of his contemporaries. He is not interested in abolishing painting and documenting its agony, but rather in the continuation of the great tradition.
He uses light and shadow effects with special preparation, during which he is capable of feats. In addition to its pure colors, its exceptional lines stand out. His most important works: a full-length portrait of the Reformed bishop László sly (250x150 cm), which is in the hall of the reformed college in Budapest. – The altarpiece of the baroque church in Érd (250x150 cm).
