Dénes Démol Molnár (1947, Vadasd - 2000, Marosvásárhely) graphic artist, painter, caricaturist. He studied at the Art Lyceum in Marosvásárhely and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest. He made lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, taught graphics, illustrated books, and his bookmarks and ex libris are also known. Between 1990 and 1996, thirty albums with woodcuts and screen prints were published. He depicted the important castles of Transylvania in woodcuts, and after hearing of the previous regime's intention to destroy villages, he carved Hungarian churches in Székelyföld. As a caricaturist, he is the standard-bearer of grotesque realism, the organizer and participant of numerous humorous graphic exhibitions. He participated in more than 75 individual exhibitions throughout the country and abroad, took part in countless group exhibitions and won prizes.
