Manfréd Weiss, Csepel Iron and Metal Works, Budapest, silver-plated metal plaque on the occasion of 40 years of membership in the National Guard from the 1970s-80s. Size of the silver-plated metal plaque: 8x4.2 cm; weight: 84 grams.
Csepel Works: the Weiss Manfréd Steel and Metal Works or WM Steel and Metal Works was an outstanding large-scale Hungarian factory in the first half of the 20th century on Csepel Island, and during the First World War it was the second largest military factory of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Its founding owner was the Pest-born manufacturer Manfréd Weiss. The plant was nationalized after the Second World War, and the name became wm steel and metal works national company. Between 1950 and 1956, its name was Rákos Mátyás iron and metal works, then from 1956 Csepel iron and metal works.
